Do you consider the Gesangskapelle Hermann to be luminaries of a cappella dialect music, perhaps even the most beautiful boy band in the world? Are you losing sleep in anticipation of a freshly baked stage show, a fireworks display of superlatives? Do you have an unquenchable desire for new music from the five merry bards? And was the long wait since the last record a true agony for you?
If the answer to all these questions is “Very much so!”, then you cannot miss this concert!

Gesangskapelle Hermann
Over 10 years have passed since the vocal group first left the rehearsal room in Vienna's Hermanngasse to make the world a happier place with their enchanting dialect singing. Although that might be a bit ambitious for them, the five gentlemen have not been idle. Hundreds of concerts in recent years – from the cattle auction hall to Porgy & Bess to the Vienna Musikverein – testify to a true sense of adventure and a good deal of pioneering spirit.
And while the Hermänner often sang their hearts out, very few eyes in the audience remained dry. However, those expecting a polished, joke-filled show might be disappointed. With a proudly worn shyness, the completely not harmless lyrics are crooned, leaving no one unscathed. Five albums full of songs, many of which – like Knedl, Wegana, Elektroradl, or Alles Tango – already possess cult status, have been created so far.
In addition to a nomination for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award, the vocal rascals have also appeared on stage for a theater production at the Akademietheater Vienna, and for their 10th anniversary, a specially designed revue full of dance, acrobatics, and magic was presented.
In the fall of 2024, the new album SEHR SOGAR will release, marking another milestone in the group's history. The new record comes as colorful, cheeky, loving, and cool as the Gesangskapelle itself, featuring hip hop, pop hits, and maybe even folk, varying from loud to modest, incredibly diverse yet all of a piece. And perhaps they will finally succeed in enchanting the world after all. There's still plenty of time!
